The missing piece

Sometimes, these short and simple books with a few words on each page have more meaning than a 400-page novel.

Here's The missing piece Meets the Big O.

Or, if you're too lazy to clickclickclick, here's the video version of the same thing:

True story. Enjoy.

Signs

It's yesterday news, but will always be a today's smile.

Winner at Cannes Lions 2009. Created by Publicis Mojo and @RadicalMedia. The purpose of the video was to reposition Schweppes as a grown-up beverage for sophisticated urban consumers. The short movie was part of an online film festival.

You can read more about its impact here.

In whiskey veritas

Conversation with a random girl, I had never met before:
"Where do you live?" (she)
"In Altstadt" (me)
"Reaaaaally? Meeee tooooo!!! Where in Altstadt?"
"Next to Frankenbad"
"Really?? Meeeee tooo!!!! Where next to Frankenbad?
"Well.. in the building right in front of it"
"Really??? Meeee tooo!!! Oau, we're practically neigbours. Listen, do you have a washing machine?"

Anchors of CNN

Just watched the new CNN program of Christiana Amanpour, The anchor of Amanpour.
Even though promoted as the first show she's doing inside of a studio, after like 20 years of field action, the start was very promising, having as guests the president of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai and the U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Richard Holbrooke.

And if that doesn't really impress you much, just for your info, in the coming weeks, Amanpour will interview a bunch of other "no names" including: Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair; Queen Rania of Jordan; former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright or Human Rights Council Report on Gaza War Richard Goldstone.

I guess these types of guests are seen only in the program of a journalist which states: "My comfort zone is out there dodging the bullets and the bombs".

Well, not that anybody asked me, but my comfort zone is somewhere in between my bedroom and livingroom. I guess that's why I ended up in Bonn, instead of Afghanistan.
